IBI Summer dance program is a professional ballet intensive held on the historic Brenau University campus with international guest artists. IBI provides the highest quality of professional training and an opportunity to train one on one with world-class teachers in an intimate setting. Students will be completely immersed in dance and will obtain invaluable training that will enrich and complement their dance education.

What makes International Ballet Intensive unique?

Strict limits on class size ensure that our teachers are able to give each dancer personal attention and coaching. Every student is provided resources, customized to their individual needs, for technical, artistic, and personal growth. Curriculum includes partnering and classical variations. In addition to the classical ballet curriculum, dancers are exposed to other forms of dance such as, modern, character and jazz. The 4-week program culminates with a public performance.

What can students expect?

Students are immersed in classes from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. six days a week. In addition, there are rehearsals building toward the final performances for the four-week participants. Social events and other recreational activities build camaraderie and nourish personal relationships. All students can expect to leave the program stronger technically and better prepared for careers in dance.

Residential program available for students; commuters accepted. Video auditions accepted.

2018 Program Costs

• Limited Scholarships available

• Timeline: In person and video audition results will be emailed within two weeks of each audition. Online video auditions accepted Now- April 15, 2018.

• Enrollment: A $500 non – refundable deposit is due two weeks after receipt of audition results. Enrollment packets will be distributed via email to participants. Payment in full is due April 30, 2018. Updates will be sent to enrolled students by email.
